ERECTION OF NEW PARISH IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF RABAUL.

Due to growing number of Catholic Faithful’s once again the Archdiocese of Rabaul has a new Parish as of Today, 16th of August 2019. The new parish comprises of the following Wards. Livuan Village, Bitagailip village. Palnakaur Village, Ramale Village and not forgetting the Faithful’s in Gelegele. The New Parish MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS, is based in Vunabosco Technical Secondary School and Sacred Heart Seminary in Rapolo until an area is cited and a New Church Building will be built. Thanks to the Salesians Congregation, who is willing to take care of the New Parish, Mary help of Christians. According to Archbishop Francesco Panfilo SDB, he said that the erection of the new Parish is a sign that the Church is alive. The Erection of the new Parish will also be beneficial for the faithful’s for there will be better services for all. In the past all those areas where under Sacred Heart Cathedral VUNAPOPE. The first AND New Parish Priest is Fr Charles Caspar SBD. During the celebration the faithful’s also witnessed 9 young men received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion.

CATHOLIC WOMANS DAY

Catholic Womens of Rabaul Deanery Celebrated the Feast of the Assumption on the 15th of August 2019 in St Mathews Parish, Vunamarita. Archbishop Francesco Panfilo, SDB, was the principal celebrant and the priest of Rabaul Deanery con celebrated with him. The Rabaul Deanery Catholic Womens animated the Liturgy. Over two (2) thousand faithfuls attended the event including the youths of Rabaul Deanery and some Fathers from different parishes.
